Human and Animal Rights Policy

1. General Principles

Kafkasya Journal of Health Sciences (KJHS) considers respect for human and animal rights a fundamental principle in all published research. All studies must comply with international ethical standards and relevant regulations.

  • All studies involving human participants must be supported by valid ethical committee approval and informed consent.
  • Research should comply with ICMJE and the Declaration of Helsinki standards.
  • Participants’ privacy and safety must be protected, and personal data should be anonymized.
  • Ethical approval should be explicitly stated in the Methods section of the manuscript, including ethics approval number if available.

3. Animal Research

  • All experiments involving animals must comply with valid ethical committee approval and international animal welfare standards.
  • Research should follow the 3R principle (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement).
  • Care and use of animals should follow ethical responsibility and welfare standards.
  • Ethical approval and details of animal use should be clearly stated in the manuscript.

4. Ethical Responsibility

  • Editors, reviewers, and authors are responsible for ensuring ethical compliance in all studies.
  • Ethical violations are addressed according to COPE guidelines and journal policies, which may include investigation, correction, or retraction.
  • Violations of human or animal rights are treated seriously to maintain scientific integrity.
