Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The article is in English.

Kafkasya Journal of Health Sciences (KJHS) is an international academic journal that supports the dissemination of scientific knowledge through the principles of open access. All articles published in the journal are made available in accordance with open access publishing standards while respecting international academic and ethical publishing practices.

Copyright Transfer

For all manuscripts accepted for publication in Kafkasya Journal of Health Sciences, the author(s) agree to transfer the copyright of the manuscript to the journal for the purpose of publication, distribution, and archiving.

Authors guarantee that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are also responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted materials used in their manuscripts.

Open Access License

All articles published in Kafkasya Journal of Health Sciences are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Under this license:

  • Articles may be freely accessed and shared for non-commercial purposes.

  • Proper attribution to the authors and the journal must always be provided.

  • The content may not be altered, transformed, or used to create derivative works.

  • Any commercial use requires permission from the journal editorial office.

Author Rights

Authors retain certain rights after publication. Authors may:

  • Share the published version of the article on their personal websites.

  • Deposit the publisher’s PDF in institutional repositories (such as university repositories or DSpace).

  • Archive the article in subject-based or open access repositories without embargo.

  • Share copies of the article with colleagues for academic purposes.

In all cases, the original publication in Kafkasya Journal of Health Sciences must be cited and a link to the DOI of the article must be provided.

Publisher Rights

The publisher of the journal, Kafkasya Veteriner Hekimler Birliği, reserves the right to distribute, archive, and index the published articles in electronic databases and academic indexing services in order to ensure the widest possible dissemination and long-term preservation of scholarly content.

Citation and Attribution

Any use, distribution, or reproduction of articles published in Kafkasya Journal of Health Sciences must include proper citation according to international academic standards.
